12 Stone Toddler is a truly unique band that mixes the camp and intelligence of They Might Be Giants and Deaf School with the solid rock production values and musicianship of a good Zappa band.

Unlike the aforementioned bands, the songs rock long after the novelty has worn off. The band is a frighteningly tight four-piece that sounds like a heavy-metal big band; lead singer Chris Otero has the vocal range to cover the range of characters they write about.

You must hear this band. Their video for "The Rabbit" shows what might have happened if Cab Calloway played a Les Paul through a Marshall stack.
