Considering I was one of the people refered to in this book. I beleve that maybe John should of stuck to the facts of his recovery, and should of left out the bashing of my best friend and sister. The ex in this stories just happens to be one the nicest people on this planet, and he doesn't capture the fact that she devoted many years of her life to him and his family...

"Does the Sun Shine in Heaven: One Man's Battle with Leukemia ," is one of those great books, one of the few really good books that really stay with you and move one within. John Amatuzio tells about his long battle with Leukemia and about what cancer suffers go through, some really hard procedures and treatments. It was no easy road for him and nor is it for anyone who has cancer. But it gives one hope to hold on and don't give up. It's a must read for anyone suffering from cancer or who has a friend or a relative who is. It's a book that doesn't just concentrate on the hard times only, it funny, heartwarming, faith filled and also a good story in general. John writes very well and tells his story in his own words and you feel like your istening to a friend talk. He's upfront and honest, and i think his book and story would benefit anyone. With the love of his family, his good doctors, a donor and his faith he was able to get well and now he spreads that faith and hope to others.
it gives hope for a cure, and also that miracles do happen sometimes and prayers do get answered. And there is always hope for a cure There are some nice, spiritual experiences and growth he writes about in his book that I found especially moving and very believable. He writes it from the heart and in very well in his own words. I'd highly recommend it also to anyone who is going through deep suffering or has. I'd recommend it to anyone for the very reason, it's a book that makes you think and appreciate God's blessings and presensce each persons life.

5.0 out of 5 stars No Fabrication Here!, July 25, 2005
This review is from: Does the Sun Shine in Heaven: One Man’s Battle with Leukemia (Paperback)
I can say that this story is an accurate account of a very difficult time for John, his family and true friends. Ive seen first hand virtually every experience touched upon in Johns story and can attest to its accuracy. People may think, say or write whatever they like but ultimately God knows the truth. I highly recommend this book to anyone facing adversity.

God bless you and your family John

5.0 out of 5 stars AMAZING!!!!!!!!, November 28, 2004
This review is from: Does the Sun Shine in Heaven: One Man’s Battle with Leukemia (Paperback)
This book is truly amazing, and it was a valuable tool for me as a care giver. John tells it like it is, but leaves the reader with a sense of hope and faith. I can't thank John enough for the way that this book helped me through one of the most difficult times in my life, and for giving me a renewed sense of faith.

5.0 out of 5 stars "but for the Grace of God go I" St. Philip Neri, April 4, 2005

John has articulated/enumerated in his book the fortitude, rectitude, focus and endurance that is necessary to survive any chronic illness...patient and family.
It is not a pleasant thing to be asked by God to persevere, especially, when one is seemingly at the mercy of so many others.
Job's wife instructed him to curse God and die...he would not.
John's suffering has not been self-imposed but has been a gift from God to bring him closer to Jesus in mind, body, soul, and spirit. I applaud him not only for the book, but foremost: for the testimony of his life.

This book exhibits tremendous human faith, strength and courage. Mr. Amatuzio has overcome tremendous physical illness and continues to do so today.

His book is an amazing detailed account of all the pain and suffering he has endured. In a small sense, the reader experiences the same physical pain and emotional roller coaster ride as the author.

John has been blessed with the ability to write a detailed account of his life and battle against leukemia and G.V.H.D.
His story is of great inspiration to all who are dealing with medical and physical adversity.

The ex in this stories just happens to be one the nicest people on this planet, and he doesn't capture the fact that she devoted many years of her life to him and his family and he took her away from her own. He is lucky that he was smart enough not to use my name in this book because he would be looking at a nice big law suit.......
