Does this camera have a "pause" button?

I normally pause via the touch screen. In recording mode, you can use the record button as it is a toggle between record and pause. In play back, the pause is activated via the touch screen.

Not to record, no. Unless I missed it somewhere. You get a new file whenever you start and stop recording.

Yes it has everything that you can exspect. You can press the record button.
The showing 1-1 answer is correct about pressing the record button to put it in pause.

The pause does start a new file but that just makes it easier to use and there is no breaks between files
when you play them back from any media you use wth the software provided. It also helps while making a movie and transfering to DVD.

Yes, but new file created each time. Pause left on too long camera goes off.

Yes it has a pause button during playback. During recording, it does not. You would just hit the record button again and it would stop recording.

I dont understand but when I play (recorded) video on camera I can play/pause video
on touch screen lcd no other seperate pause button

During playback, yes It's a soft botton on the screen. During recording, you simply yse the stop/start recording

You can't pause the record, you just stop it and you get a new file whenever you start and stop recording.

WHen you're filming yes and when you're watching what you filmed via camcorder screen, yes too.
