Apple provides a 1 year hardware warranty and 90 days of phone support with their computers. Customer then have the option of extending that by purchasing Apple Care which adds three years of service to the unit. This Apple Care must be purchase within 1 year of the original date of purchase. This is a 2007 Macbook, so even if the original owner did put Apple Care on it, the coverage would be expired by now. There is no warranty through Apple for something this old.
