Does this fit a Nikon D5100?

Update: This strap does not fit the Nikon D5100. You are able to attached the strap to the camera by screwing it in via the tripod connection, but there is a plastic "lip" that's part of the strap that blocks the screen from opening/closing.

It states it should. I don't know personally. It fits in my camera's tripod connection and has an additional connection for the tripod so it is still functional without much changing if equipment. I had a strap previously that didn't have this ability and it was a total pain to take it off to attach my tripod for shoots.

I don't know about your Nikon, but it sure didn't work on my Fujifilm FinePix S4200. My index finger couldn't reach the shutter when this strap was on my camera!
