Simply put, no. You can still capture photos but will lose the light field features. We've used it for two nights in and out of music clubs and the streets of the French Quater and have gotten some great shots, but have tossed away many more low light photos
There is no built-in flash. Like any camera, a steady hand or tripod may be needed in low-light. In a recent software update, you can control the ISO setting, which helps a lot. The light field effect technically works fine in low light but not when the ISO is high and the picture gets grainy.
