2.0 out of 5 stars A Book
In this book, a young boy named Eddie is convinced that the new school cafateria cook is Cupid by means of cookies and pins instead of the traditional bow and arrow. Anyone who eats a cookie and gets a pin ends up falling in love with someone . . . but it's always the wrong person. A 4th grade bully falls in love with a 3rd grade wimp, and the head of the class falls for...

5.0 out of 5 stars Got to read!, May 18, 2000

This review is from: Cupid Doesn't Flip Hamburgers (The Adventures of the Bailey School Kids, #12) (Paperback)
I just read a book called Cupid Doesn't Flip Hamburgers by Debbie Dadey. I think it was a very good book. I would recommend it to other children. The story takes place in Bailey City School and is about the school's cook. The children in the school are going to find out if the cook is a cupid or not because she is putting some kind of love potion in the lunches. They think Cupid is silly because she doesn't flip hamburgers, But Lisa said that she has to flip hamburgers because that is how they get so fat.Well that is all I going to tell you, you have to read it to see how good a book it is.

Hi i'm going to tell you a little about book number 12, Cupid Dosent Flip Hamburgers. There are four kids who live in Bailey City. There names are Eddie, Howie, Liza, and Melody. One day they go to lunch and see a new lunch lady. Melody said the new lunch lady is Cupid because the new lunch lady has pictures of Cupid and it's near Valentine's Day. The new lunch lady has brought Valentines into the picture by making their lunch hearts. Is the lunch lady really Cupid? Read this book to find out. I like this book because it's a really funny story.

A 4th grade bully falls in love with a 3rd grade wimp, and the head of the class falls for Eddie. Eddie has to stop all this by concoting an anti-love potion. I would give this book probably a 2 or 3. It was good for people who are in 3rd grade, and maybe fourth, but I thought it was a little immature.

This review is from: Cupid Doesn't Flip Hamburgers (The Adventures of the Bailey School Kids, #12) (Paperback)
When Liza, Melody, Howie and Eddie meet Mrs. Rosenbloom, Eddie thinks Mrs. rosenbloom is a cupid because she made those heart hamburgers. She also made people in-love like Principal Davis and Mrs. Jeepers. I can't believe Carey has a crush on Eddie. Then, One day Eddie decides to make a cure, A cure that people will not be in-love. One day he brought it to school and mixed it in Mrs. Rosenbloom's recipe. After those people tasted it, They Complained about the food because it was not delicious. One day Mrs. Rosenbloom was gone because she is done working there

5.0 out of 5 stars I really enjoyed this book!!, February 4, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Cupid Doesn't Flip Hamburgers (The Adventures of the Bailey School Kids, #12) (Paperback)
This was a great story. The main characters are Howie, Eddie, Liza, Melody and Mrs. Rosenbloom. The book is mostly about a new cafeteria lady who makes food that is heart shaped. Almost everybody eats a cookie she made. She gave them a heart button too. Eddie and Howie are the only ones who didn't eat a cookie. They find out that the button is an arrow that makes people fall in love with each other. Even the teachers are falling in love. The boys made a batch of cookie dough that tasted sour. She catches Eddie bringing the cookie dough to the mixing bowl. She gives him a cookie and makes him eat it. He falls in love too. She makes the cookie dough that Eddie and Howie snuck into the bowl. Everyone eats it and everything turns back to normal. Once again the Bailey School Kids saved the day!!!
