YES!! She's FINALLY HAPPY!,

Janet is back, and this time, she's happy happy happy! I love this song. It's fun, it's perfect for the film (The Nutty Professor 2:The Klumps) and it's just infectious!I love the 3rd remix on this single. The Jonathan Peters mix. The spanish guitar is throughout the whole song and helps to build and build this club mix to a classic bridge! It's just a beautiful version of the song and it will have you snappin' and shakin'. I listen to it twice a day, once to work, once to home. Helps in the commute! Keeps that road rage down! :) If you like Janet, this is classic Janet. Her signature laugh is present which makes you smile when you hear it. LOVE that laugh! She seems to be having the time of her life and is finally at a HAPPY point and I think this song shows and proves that. Get this single and add it to your collection. You'll love it and you'll be humming it all day, in the shower, anytime, you'll be "Nutty Nutty Nutty" for it!

Infectious single from R&B institution,
By

It doesn't really matter that "Doesn't Really Matter" isn't the finest piece of music ever written. No matter at all. The song is highly infectious. One of those stays-in-your-head-all-day type songs that may not be musically superior but is fun to listen to and belt out while your driving. The song is intricate and Janet's distinct girlish vocals solidify the single even more so. Not many people can sing a song like this and get away with it. Janet is more than able to. No doubt the song will be atop the Billboard Hot 100 very shortly.

This song is about inner beauty. "Doesn't really matter what the eye can see/cause I'm in love with the inner being". Janet is the best!!! Her songs always have great messages.

Janet is incredible!,

This song is so cute and has a great message. Janet has an incredible voice and I think this song shows it off pretty well. The only major flaw is that this song was played soooo much, which just proves how good it really is.The first remix on this single sounds kind of cool. The background just bugs me a little bit, but I guess that's the sound they were going for. I dunno. I wouldn't have overdone the bass so much or had what sounds like a bird call in the back. It kind of distracts from Janet's talent. The second sounds more Latin/Tropical. It has the big drum beat going and it just makes you want to get up and groove. This one doesn't make Janet sound horrible. It actually enhances the sound of her voice with complimenting sounds. The only problem is that it is SOOOO long! It's eight-and-a-half minutes long! The third starts out with more of a cheap eighties sound. It goes on to have an interesting sound, but not that great. I mean, it sounds good, but I just don't really prefer it to the previous remix. (It's better than the first remix on the CD.) It's kind of sped up, but it ends up being longer than the original version, because of all the additions to it for the remixes.

All About Janet,

Janet is just off the hook, I love her and all that she does. The woman is just fantastic. She is just pure genius like her brother. There is no comparison to anyone else in the pop industry. She is just the best. "Doesn't Really Matter" is one of her best songs to date. I can't wait for her new album to come out. I will be the first in line to buy it. Janet is #1 and always will be.

THESE REMIXES REALLY MATTER - TRACK #3,
By
This review is from: Doesn't Really Matter (Audio CD)
Hey everyone - did you catch Janet on MTV? Anyhow, this is a good remix CD. Track #1 is the one on the radio, track #2 is the version she had mixed in at the VMA's, and track #3 is a house mix (fast beat) with a BEAUTIFUL SPANISH GUITAR.Alright, before you think I'm biased, let me assure you this isn't manic enthusiasm. It's a great song, and track #3 (the Spanish guitar one) is perfect for driving down a palm-tree lined road with your top down somewhere in Cali, Florida or somewhere else with a tropical/mediterranean climate. Track #4, well, that track doesn't really matter. So, 3 out of 4? That's still a pretty good buy. Get this! Knyte (Trust Me)

Review for "Doesn't Really Matter" by Janet,
By Tameron Cantrell (Nassau, The Bahamas) - See all my reviews

Unlike some of her more recent efforts like "Damita Jo" and "All For You", this song is just a good, clean dance number. The remixes are so-so... the Jonathan Peters Club Mix is really good but its just simply too long (I've never been a fan of 8 minute remixes). The intro of the "Dance All Day" remix makes it seem like you're about to hear something particularly special, but 30 seconds into the track, you're already reaching for the "NEXT TRACK" button on your CD player. The other remix isn't even worth mentioning because it's just so bland. This is one of her best songs since "Rhythm Nation". Buy it for the original version; if you are buying it to hear the remixes, you're making a mistake.

Okay, I've always been a Janet Jackson fan. Afterall, besides the fact that we both are singers, we share another commonality. :)This song is really good to dance to and it has a great message. I think that it really shows that pop has grown up from the songs of my parents' youth (i.e. 'Puppy Love') to express points of view that you can love people no matter what they look like. The only bad thing about this song is that around here, it was played almost everyday more than once a day for over a year. That got pretty annoying!

Great Song But So-So remixes,
This review is from: Doesn't Really Matter (Audio CD)
At long last, Janet has finally released another single! This is actually a light hearted song by Janet proclaiming her love to someone whom other people can't accept. The moral of the song is that if you love someone, it doesn't matters what other people think. The song has a great rhythm, and is very easy to digest. However, it's sometimes quite hard to listen to what Janet is actually singing about as her voice is constantly muffled out by the music. As for the remixes, only the Jonathan Peters remix is the saving grace of the whole CD, and even then, it's not that good a remix. The least said about the other 2 remixes the better, with the Dance All Night remix being downright irritating. Let's hope that more remixes by other DJs will be released in the days to come. My overall verdict: Get the single because the song is really nice and heartwarming, but brace yourself and don't be disappointed by the so-so remixes.
