Dog & Butterfly is a soft cover picture book that not only tells a wonderful story but also features beautiful illustrations. The story is about a little white dog who refuses to give up on his dream of befriending a butterfly. He plays and chases and finally catches his dream. It makes a perfect book to read just before bed or anytime your child might need a little pick-me-up of confidence! The illustrations also tell the story very well and are drawn in colorful watercolor paints. Now if "Dog & Butterfly sounds familiar to you, it is because Heart originally recorded it and it was a hit song on the double platinum album Dog & Butterfly! To celebrate this new book, Heart has re-recorded a bran-new version of Dog & Butterfly that you can download with the purchase of the book. And yes the book is based on the song lyrics!

this was a really good story !When i got the email about this being a book and available at amazon.com I jumped at the chance. this being the name of my favorite album by my favorite group of all time :}
I read the story and loved the interaction of the puppies and family and of course with the butterflies.

I absolutely love 'Dog & Butterfly' -- it captures the essence of the song perfectly. I bought a copy for myself to have for my children one day, as well as a copy for a friend's child. I think that it is a wonderful gift that I plan on giving to the children in my life for years to come.

I loved seeing this story put to paper after many years as a Heart fan.

Having loved the music of the sisters Wilson for many years, I was intrigued at the idea of a book for my young grandgirl. I was not disappointed. The story was simple and sweet and the illustrations were magnificent. Thanks Ann & Nancy !

I bought this book for my son, he is studying childrens literature right now and really liked it.

I love Ann & Nance but, the book was cut off at the top. I would sayabout 2 to 3 inches. " dog &" wasn't even there! It looked like the book was called just " butterfly "! It's not Ann & nance's fault. Just some shoddy work from the publisher
