I had heard of this band, but not until the SNL performance tonight did I care about Florence + The Machine. Let me just say the other reviewer who is complaining about this artist is way off-base - if you check out the reviews of "Lungs", the full-length album this single comes from, you will see that it has a 4 1/2 star review from almost 100 people. This is a breakthrough artist with phenomenal pipes that deserves all the success they get. I just downloaded the whole album.

This is a fantastic song. It's one of those that you hear just once and it remains in your head long after it's gone. If only I could find a great remix, I'd be happy.

In the meantime, I've had this on auto-repeat for a few minutes and still crushing over it.

Is that lame to say? Perhaps, but I'm willing to deal with it :)

I heard about Florence + the machine in Teen Vogue, and although it didn't sound like my kind of music, I decided to give it a try as I am always looking for new things to listen too. I was not dissapointed! Florence Welch has incredible talent, and this song is no exception. It's incredibly uplifting and suprisingly easy to sing along with, and it stays in your head long after you stop listening. I wish I could give it 10 stars!!

I absolutely love this song! I was jamming to it so hard in my car that I blew a speaker and now my music sounds ugly. It was totally worth it though. :)

There is nothing like a powerful song that tells you that the things that bothered you and kept you up at night are behind you. That is what Florence and the Machine's DOG DAYS ARE OVER does for me. It takes me to a place where we can see the sunlight through the clouds and smile in spite of what we might have gone through.

The music coupled with the powerful vocals make for a song that will get music lovers of all genres to stop and take notice. A real musical celebration of life.

I first heard this song on a singing competition TV show (The Voice) and when I heard the contestant sing this song I had to look it up and hear the original. I absolutely love this song. Why 4 stars then? Because the rendition on The Voice was even better with the amazing drumming by the singer and her energy was incredible.

I downloaded this single after hearing it on "So You Think You Can Dance" and a cover by the Glee cast. Very cool! I don't know much about this artist, but I may download more if they sound as good as this. My 6-year old also loves it.

I too didn't really know about Florence & the Machine until seeing them on SNL one night. I couldn't get over how GOOD they were!! Then, at my daughter's dance studio, they were using Florence's songs for their upcoming recital. I went that day and purchased Lungs. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this album! Not the type to buy t'shirts with bands' names, etc., but I purchased two Florence shirts from the UK.. Can't say enough great things about this amazing, and original artist!!!

After a visually stunning VMA debut, I finally decided to give Florence + the Machine a try after failing to like her for nearly a year. But, I am so glad I have her another shot. This song is quite incredible, unique, and fresh from the UK.

This was the opening song for the pilot episode of Covert Affairs. I loved the song but didnt know who sang it. Found this by accident and am THRILLED!
