this album takes the word slo-burner to new heights,from thinking of it as average when i first heard it,many listens down the line it is now my fave album by leatherface. every song is pure class.standout tracks are you and heart is home, pure raw emotion with lyrics like "i used to see the world as a child now i see a child as the world". listen to the beautiful chord changes in heart is home....and...just buy it!

This CD is great because all Leatherface CDs are great! However, this sounds more like Jessie or Pope (Frankie's other bands) than Leatherface. Pick it up, but don't expect it to be MUSH pt. 2...

This release lacks something of the frenzy that marks their best work. An album like this pales in comparison to "Mush" or "Horsebox", which are arguably the best punk albums of the 90s. This album is more reminiscent of the somewhat tamer "Minx", in that the songs seem to be "generic Leatherface songs." They're still good songs, but they lack the incandescent urgency that make the material on "Mush" and "Horsebox" leap out of the speakers at you.

It should also be noted that the name of this record is "Dog Disco" and not simply "Dog." It seems strange that Amazon would get the basic listing wrong . . .
