5.0 out of 5 stars Terrific Magazine for the Dog Lover November 7, 2001
Subscription Term Name:1 year
I have been getting this magazine since 1986, and enjoy every issue. It is always packed full of useful information on dogs. It not only covers the purebred dogs, but mixed breeds as well. Each month there is at least one featured breed of dog and a poster to accompany it. It also includes advertisement for "doggy" things, breeders ads and AKC show schedules.

4.0 out of 5 stars Plesantly Surprized! March 29, 2005
Subscription Term Name:1 year
My mom used to subscribe to this magazine when I was growing up. I used to read it often throughout my adolesence. However I always found the magazine to be lacking. (Quality, Information.) Now some 10 years later I decided to try the magazine out once again. Since there has been some recent hype going around about it. I got this months newsstand -- April -- issue and the Special Puppy issue. I am in Love! It seems the Dog Fancy has improved by leaps and bounds since my last read. Now it contains an enormous ammount of extremely helpful information as well as stories and such to entertain you.

5.0 out of 5 stars My absolute favorite magazine July 16, 2003
By A Customer
Subscription Term Name:1 year
Each month I am so excited when I receive my DF issue! I always read it cover to cover and learn so much about how to properly care for my dog. It has wonderful training tips and expert methods, talks about finding the right diet, profiles different breeds, and even provides stories and news straight from the dog world. And so much more! Another reason I like it so much is because I sent in two letters, and they published them both! That was exciting. I always learn something new with each issue! So I suggest you subscribe to DF if you are a dog lover, a dog owner, or both (like me).

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the greatest magazines I've read August 9, 2005
Subscription Term Name:1 year
Dog Fancy is an excellent magazine for all parents of the furry four-legged tail waggin' love bugs out there. It is very informative and I, myself, refer to previous magazines all the time. It's your own personal library full of information that you can use now and even in the future. I've subscribed to Dog Fancy and Dog World. Dog World is for parents who are mainly in dog shows and agility. While Dog Fancy is for the average parent who is not in the sports realm. I love Dog Fancy magazine and I know that parents who love their "kids" as much as I love mine, will enjoy this magazine as much as I do.

5.0 out of 5 stars All About Dogs March 3, 2007
Subscription Term Name:1 year
Dog Fancy is the world's most popular dog magazine and it is a publication I have been reading for more than ten years. I first learned of Dog Fancy when I got an offer in the mail to receive a few trial issues free of charge. Since I am a dog owner and confessed dogaholic, I gladly accepted the offer and have been reading Dog Fancy on and off ever since.

This magazine has gradually improved over the years and it now stands as one of my favorite magazines. What I like most about Dog Fancy is the fact that it makes every effort to cover something of interest to any dog owner- casual or serious- in every single issue. This is one of the reasons why Dog Fancy contains so many monthly departments. It has more departments than most other magazines and while the number might seem excessive at first, it is nice that so many different topics are covered. No matter what you want to learn, discover, or discuss about dogs, you can find something related to your interest in every issue.

Dog Fancy offers advice on dog care, tips on behavior modification, coverage of dog shows, and profiles of different breeds. Each issue of Dog Fancy features a photo of a specific breed on the cover with a full article on the inside that discusses the breed, its personality, and its characteristics. In addition to the dog on the cover, there are other breed profiles, too, and in the center of each issue is a colorful pull- out poster of the featured breeds. Kids, in particular, love this pull- out and many will want to grab it and place it on the refrigerator or on their bedroom wall.

Dog Fancy has lots of departments and features and one way the magazine helps readers find articles of interest is through its "On the Cover" diagram.

5.0 out of 5 stars ...here is my reveiw! ... March 17, 2002
Subscription Term Name:1 year
I love this magazine. Amazon.com's price is great-better than the publisher's price. I am a dog enthusiast, and this magazine is my favorite. The articles on specific breeds of dogs are great, you can learn a lot about the dog you want from them. The other articles are also great, especially the health realated ones. I highly recommend this magazine.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this magazine November 17, 2002

Thanks for the opportunity to review Dog Fancy Magazine. This mag is chock-full of great articles, including information on cutting-edge medical procedures, excellent products and heartwarming stories....another person on this site wrote a review indicating that they never received their subscription. I must say that their subscription dept. is not that great, as I had the same problem. Now, I buy it myself it every month when I go into my local pet store to buy pet food. By the way, the other dog mag, Dog World, is also excellent and I actually get both of them there....well worth the money---I find that I have saved them and have files where I tear out articles and have them at ready-access should I need them, especially stuff about health, national health related websites, how to find specialists, etc.....buy it! You won't be sorry......
