Even after as many as 50 wash cycles, the protective finish remains soft and functional. The non-toxic and pet-safe Smart Bed is extremely resistant to liquids, dirt, grime, and coat oil. It’s highly resistant to abrasion, leading to a long life for your Smart Bed, and is engineered to repel odors, allergens, and bacterial infections. It’s generously filled with hypoallergenic, soft hollow-core slick fiber fill, which allows your dog to nest contentedly, but bounces back to its full height when your pet leaves. An inner cushion and bolstered sides provide a sense of security and promote sound sleeping. Because the Smart Bed stays clean longer, you don’t have to wash it as often. When you do, unzip the cover, remove the inner bolster, and machine-wash the cover and the inside tufted cushion on gentle cycle with similar colors. Use a very small amount of detergent, and never use fabric softener, bleach, or dryer sheets. Tumble dry using the highest heat level. Only hand-wash the bolster. Measures 42 inches in diameter. We love this bed. I have purchased hundreds of dollars of beds over the last 17 years. This bed has not gotten the doggy smell that most beds get. It washes great and is not too difficult to put back together. None of them have lost their shape and still look great after more than 1 year.I have one in almost all the rooms. I would reccomend this product. It may run small but my dog is only 28 lbs..

This dog bed received good ratings. Unfortunately, the color that I received was navy blue, which immediately showed dog hair, even before I put it on the floor. I believe the Khaki color would not show the hair. Also, when you order the product, be sure to order one size bigger than you think is needed. I have an English Springer, and the medium size was too small.

I ordered the Large bed for my 30lb Basset Hound. She LOVED it immediately. She is a bit of a burrower, so she likes to dig up the bottom part of the bed and snuggle up under it so that she's in her own little cave. She can just dig and dig and that fabric will not snag or tear. Definitley recommend it!
