Gary Primich, out of Indiana, is one of those hard-working blues players that no one has ever heard of apart from an inner blues-loving circle. This is a petty, because Primich is one heck of a harmonica player and more than average singer too! Every CD he has put out gets stronger and stronger and on this one, he simply establishes what an ace he really is! Living in Texas, we hear Texas shuffles mixed with rocking boogies, jazzy instrumentals and traditional Chicago rollicking blues. This one has it all! Gary has really come into his own and his band is top notch. The guitar player, Chris Masterson, is a new find I have never heard before and he takes most of the songs to great heights. Mixed with Gene Taylor's boogie piano and horns on some songs, this is good time music with no excuses! Gary deserves the backing of a record company that can bring him out to a bigger audience. Being a tremendous harmonica player foremost, his vocals have a very fine quality that truly gives this recording a very high rating indeed. Everything is good here and I hope that all harmonica lovers and fans of "real" blues gives this one a go-this is top!!

Like nearly all releases on the Antone's label, this is one[great] record. And how in the heck is it that I've never heard of this guy before? He's a great singer/harpist, and this band is exactly right for the material. If you like Kim Wilson's solo albums, get this. You won't be sorry.

Gary Primich was family. He was part of this family and I greatly miss him. this is, in my opinion, Gary's greatest CD. He really got it all together and put out something special. Everything works. Even though this does not showcase Gary's harmonica talents, it showcases his abilities to compose music. I highly recommend it to introduce you to Gary and his music. Rest In Peace Gary. Your family misses you so much.
