If you are going to more than Seattle, get the Pacific Northwest edition instead - the Seattle edition is in it almost word for word.

The impression you get of the author when flipping through this book is a pleasant, friendly one, so I hate to have to ding it, but: after having this book (and my dog) for 6 months, I have a long list of places I love to take my dog that I found from Google, Yelp, etc., and exactly zero places that have panned out for me that were recommended by this book. Your mileage may vary, especially if you don't like poring through Internet searches.

Good, but sort of states the obvious when it comes to dog parks and place to walk your dog. It's not the book's fault, but Washington is not exactly super off leash friendly. I don't know how it possibly got such a "dog friendly" name.
