smooth and smart,

This review is from: The Dog Walker: A Novel (Hardcover)
Schnur's characters are funny and genuine. I laughed, I cried, I felt sorry for some, but I felt I really knew these people. It was easy to read, really intelligent and the dogs are just great!
I love this type of story, and this one is far more fun and smarter than most. I thought the ending was perfect, just perfect. I am telling my friends about this book, and will be watching for Ms Schnur's next book, I hope soon.

Adorable, fun, leaves you waiting for the sequel!,
This review is from: The Dog Walker: A Novel (Hardcover)
Nina, the main character in the book, seemed like someone I wanted to be best friends with. This book made me laugh out loud several times and I just loved it. The humor and insights are great. I sat down with it and didn't get up until it was done. In some places, it made me think of the best Shakespeare -- all those mistaken identities. Very smart. Very clever. It will make a superb movie, too. I can't wait to read Schnur's next book!

A Sandra Bullock Movie,
This review is from: The Dog Walker: A Novel (Paperback)
What a waste of time! This story seems to have been written for a made for TV or Sandra Bullock movie. What makes me the most upset is I wasted 24 dollars to buy the book. Pure fluff.

A Good Read,

This review is from: The Dog Walker: A Novel (Hardcover)
A funny, smart New York story about love and dogs...what could be better? Schnur's writing is full of lots of laughs and more than a touch of empathy. Anyone who owns a dog, wants a dog, or knows a dog, lives in New York, wants to live in New York, or has visited New York, has been in love, is in love, or wants to be in love, should read this book.

Banal, unrealistic, and just plain dumb,

This review is from: The Dog Walker: A Novel (Hardcover)
The plot is unrealistic and boring. It tries to be funny and it's painfully not. The characters are shallow and forgetable. I'm embarrassed just admitting that I even read this book.

I really never could relate to a character in a book as I could with Nina Shepard. I mean I thought I was reading about my life. This book made me laugh alot. It is easy to read, yeah they have a few big collage words but that is what the dictionary is for. The story flows well, it keeps you interested. I can't wait to read more of Leslie Schnur's books.

A mistaken identity romp,
By
This review is from: The Dog Walker: A Novel (Hardcover)
Have you ever fallen in love with someone you don't know? NinaShephard has fallen for attorney,Daniel Maguire. She thinks she knows him. After all,she walks his dog and has carefully snooped around his apartment to discover what kind of man he is. Nina usually snoops around her client's owner's apartments when she comes to picks up their dogs. The world of the professional dog walker has many unusual perks. And would he understand her love of Broadway musicals and the glass wall hangings she has all over her apartment? Billy's work as an investigator for the IRS means he can't always be honest with the peoplehe meets. He never expected to meet a woman like Nina, especially coming out of his twin brother, Daniel's bathroom. Right now he has to concentrate on Constance Chandler and the unknown source of her wealth.Besides,he isn't flashy like his brother. He's just a regular guy whoplays the trombone to relax. How can he forget about Nina when he keeps running into her and the dogs? Leslie Schnur has crafted a witty tale of modern day life in the big city and the need we all have to be seen for who we really are....and to be loved. I loved it!
