This book was a great help to us in traveling with our three dogs. It is clearly written and we found the information contained in the book to be 100% correct. Great reference!

We were planning a trip to Aspen Colorado via car. Many of the hotels listed as dog friendly weren't. What I mean is an extra charge (non refundable) of $50 a night does not qualify. Also, many required you take smoking rooms and/or second floor. We are seniors and don't do second floors. We decided to monopolize franchise hotels we know are nationally dog friendly such as Days Inns, Motel 6, and some Best Westerns. I don't recommend the book.

I was astounded by the number of places that you can stay with your dog.
Worth the purchase

On the surface, "Dogfriendly.com's lodging guide for travelers with dogs" looks as if it would be wonderful for dog owners who travel with their pet(s).
Unfortunately, it is not a reliable guide. Some of the hotels listed do not accept dogs. Others place weight/size limits on acceptable dogs, with no matching warning from Dogfriendly.com.
It is understandable that the lodging guide may not be up-to-date, because hotels can and do change their policies. But what I cannot forgive is that, if you make a booking using Dogfriendly.com, they refuse to give refunds for cancellations, even when: [a] the booking was based on misinformation published in their own guide; and [b] the cancellation is attempted weeks in advance of the booking date. This comes very close to fraud.
Do not rely on Dogfriendly.com.

This was a gift for our daughter who has a yellow lab and who also likes to travel. She found several interesting spots for vacations in this book.

It is good to have when I travel with my pets. Haven't done that yet but hopefully it will help next year.
