I bought this helmet for our dog who goes on bike rides with us. The helmet was cute and pretty funny but the dog was easily able to get it off and I doubt it would do much for protecting his head. We ordered a small and it was a little tight for our Border Terrier. Overall, I would use this for a costume not for safety.

My dog wears this helmet when we go ATV riding together. I feel secure that if he gets whipped by a branch or we take a tumble, he won't be injured by an impact to his head.

However, the helmet does slip around a lot on his head, and I must frequently adjust it. I imagine that it is difficult to engineer a product that will stay on a dog's head, much less stay adjusted correctly, and I am satisfied with the product. I just wish that more thought had been given to the strapping mechanism to keep it on better.

He leaves it alone when riding, as if he understands why it is important to wear it, but as soon as we leave the ATV he whips it off his head in a jiffy.

For the price, it is a great value.

I think it is cute, but my pet does not really like it. For functionality, I don't know that it will stay on, but I don't think any others will either. It's cute though...he will wear it or the goggles, but HATES wearing both...
