I haven't seen the show, Barkitecture on DIY, but this book is a find for any dog owner who wants to demonstrate their creativity. It has instructions to make your own unique dog houses. Good ideas but not too practical...useful as a reference
I got this book but I ended up not using any of the projects since they were tailored for the peoples need that were in the book. I did use it more like a reference and as inspiration to my own ideas and needs. I would only recommend as a reference and for people that own power tools such as a router, table saw, jigsaw, and neumatic gun with air compressor. Otherwise, I...

I got this book but I ended up not using any of the projects since they were tailored for the peoples need that were in the book. I did use it more like a reference and as inspiration to my own ideas and needs. I would only recommend as a reference and for people that own power tools such as a router, table saw, jigsaw, and neumatic gun with air compressor. Otherwise, I don't feel any of the projects at least the one's where wood is involved can be completed.
But for anyone looking for an idea this book could be used as inspiration with not so much detailed information.

Colorful photos, complete instructions, and even a few projects that can be completed in a day. I highly this book to dog lovers and do-it-yourselfers.

The book has some interesting ideas. However, I tried to build one doghouse from the book and quickly discovered that the instructions are not detailed enough to build the doghouse without lots of trial and error. Also, I'm pretty sure that the dimensions of the wood/materials needed for the build I was interested in were incorrect. There is no way the dimensions they bill of materials could create the structure the book shows. On top of this, the DIY network has the same doghouse designs on their website. The website is sparse on detail, but so in the book. I was really upset with the quality of this book- just go to their website for ideas and avoid it.
