Most of these hikes are simply park walks on paved areas less than 3 miles that allow dogs. Furthermore, the descriptions are short and provide no additional information. Seriously just go to a park and walk on the path. This books hardly expands on this at all.

It is good to obtain general information. But, the details are outdated and not reliable.

I really like this book. It showed me several parks close to where I live and I wasn't overwhelmed with lengthy descriptions. I had just enough to get me interested without the national geographic descriptions.
