My Grand-Puppies love this item and can chew on it for months at a time. My daughters keep them on-hand. BUT, if you have a devil-dog like mine....don't bother. He can destroy it in 15 minutes. I can only give him racket balls or Kong toys.

My sweet pitbull, Huey LOVES these toys and more importantly, they stand up to our constant games of tug of war. (My shoulders, however, not so much!)

I was extatic to hear from my sister that there were toys on the market that could handle the riggors of anything a dog could pull it through.

So I immediately ordered this along w/ the alligator because all my english setter's toys were destroyed. Once they came in the mail, I couldn't help but say to her to, "Try these on for size!" Literally within an HOUR, though, my setter already had a gaping hole torn in its side and the squeaker pulled out and left in shambles.

We bought two Doggy Hoots Strapping Yankers toys, the Alligator and Snake, for our dog Sarah back in 2004 and they have been her favorite toys ever since. She plays with them every single day and they are only now just beginning to show signs of wear and tear, so I think 4 years lifespan on a dog toy is amazing. Every other toy we've bought her has been destroyed or had a hole ripped in it within minutes, but these toys are tough, and she loves them! So, having had great difficulty finding them in any local stores we ended up ordering the set of three - Alligator, Snake and Trout, from [...] through Amazon. The shipping was quick, although we had to wait an extra couple of weeks for the Trout as it was out of stock. But Sarah now has three brand new toys and she's happy as a sandbag. :)

This is a good toy for large dogs. My dog loves to carry it around.
