Assembly

This stroller will arrive to you mostly pre-assembled. Upon receiving it, simply remove it from the box, fold up both side walls, move the interior cross bar arm, located along the roof, into place and lock the crossbar with the included silver detent pin. Bracket push bar holders will be included in a small box. These bracket push bar holders are to be installed on the rear frame of the cabin by pushing the slits in the fabric aside and screwing the holders into place. The push bar arm can then be inserted into the holders and locked into place with the included silver detent pins.

Do not attempt to attach the push bar before locking the interior cross bar arm into place.

Now all that is left is attaching the wheels. The side wheels are quick release wheels which will attach or release my simply pushing the center axle button and either pushing on to attaching or pulling off to remove. Finally the front jogger-stroller wheel is attached by first removing the front locking pin, inserting the wheel into the front reception tube, then passing the locking screw through the bottom set of holes, repositioning the nut on the opposite side, then finally flipping the silver lever back to secure the locking pin into place.

Ready to use the jogger-stroller for another purpose, this time at home? It easily converts to a crate for long car rides or home use by removing the wheels and push bar arm.

I have a 104-pound Anatolian Shepherd mix with systemic lupus, and I bought this stroller because she tires out very easily. The stroller is easy to take apart, stick in the car (I have a small hatchback), and reassemble quickly. It is also very easy for me to maintain control of the stroller when my dog moves around, which was something I had been worried about due to her size. Best of all, my dog absolutely loves to ride around in it.

I adopted Old Dog when she was 5 or 6, a depressed little thing who'd stopped eating. She's been my faithful running companion for almost 7 years now, helping me train for trail marathons, protecting me against predators real and imagined on our road runs. But she is getting on in years now, she gets tired more easily, but she doesn't want me to leave her behind.
I want a stroller that I can run with. I want a good quality product that I don't have to hassle much with. This fits the bill.
I run w. Old Dog til she gets tired, then she hops in. She's not too thrilled about being in the stroller, she'd rather be out sniffing and marking her territory, so I use the ties in the stroller and leave the mesh unzipped so Her Majesty can survey her world. I can run 7'ish miles with this thing with little hassle so I am happy.
Old Dog weighs about 65'ish. Her sister Old Labby, who is 10-11, loves to take her turn in it. She weighs about 80'ish, maybe.
Heads up...there is a known manufacturing defect you have to be aware of. DR will take care of it, you just have to realize it is not a design flaw. On my second run the front wheel, which I leave unlocked, started to wobble something terrible. I thought it was from going over the seams on the sidewalk but nope. It rapidly worsened til it was constantly wobbling/vibrating and pretty darned hard to steer. I contacted DR and they apologized, sent out a replacemt wheel, sent me a prepaid shipping label to return the defective part to them for autopsy, and we're good to go now.
The warranty is for five years. I did tell them that I'd bought it "used" from Amazon warehouse. They said they didn't care, I was covered, just contact them if anything came up.

I try to wait before writing my reviews until I have had a chance to use the product for a while. I have only had the DoggyRide for a couple of months, but winter is approaching so it will not get much more use until spring.

PROS: Quality product and workmanship, for the most part.
Easy assembly.
DoggyRide customer service is fantastic. A real person will answer the phone or email promptly.
The dogs LOVE it!

CONS: The back door.
The zippers.
No place to store jogging wheel or trailer tow bar when opposite is in use.
No tie down rings on the floor of the cart.

Let me explain my CONS. I (and the dogs) do not like the back door with the storage pocket. There is NO window, or screen of any sort in the back door so the dogs do not have a 360 view. The back door is to be used for loading and unloading - if you have water bottles, or anything else in the pocket it will likely fall out when you lift the door. Unless you take everything out of the pocket, you cannot leave the back door open for the dogs to enter and exit at will. There are no other storage pockets on the cart for putting water bottles, or anything else. If there were some storage pockets on the sides this would eliminate many of these issues, but as designed, it is a pain in the butt.

The zippers do not operate smoothly, especially on the back door. It almost always requires two hands to zip. Not ideal when juggling everything and three dogs.

I called customer service to ask about stowing the jogging wheel when using as a trailer and was told the idea was to use the pocket in the back door! I have not tried to force the wheel in there. To me, that is not a viable option, especially since this is the ONLY storage pocket on the cart.

My dog is almost 15 years old, weighs 48 pounds and has lost most of her mobility in her back legs. We used to enjoy walking our neighborhood together, but once she began losing her ability to walk that much, we had to stop. I wanted her to get some of her outdoor time back, so I did thorough research on different doggy strollers. I chose the Novel DoggyRide Jogger-Stroller because it was the right size and was built the best. I am a 60-year-old grandmother and I put it together by myself in about 1.5 hours. My dog loves to stroll in her new ride! She has enough room to lie comfortably and I unzip the window screen so she can see all the familiar things she has enjoyed over our years of walking together. I LOVE this stroller, and so does my dog. I would highly recommend this product and would purchase it if I had to do this over again.

This is my second week using this stroller with a 55 pound retriever-mix recovering from back surgery, and I can't say enough good things about it.
The design and construction are SOLID.
The rear-entry door and wheel brake make getting him in much easier than I expected.
Getting the stroller back into the small trunk of my Corolla is as easy as pulling off the handlebar, pressing the side two wheel releases, and folding it flat.

I notice a previous reviewer complained that it was difficult to assemble. The actual initial assembly is a breeze. I would guess that she's referring to the lateral crossbar that you deploy when you unfold it for use. I also found this a bit of a trial until I started putting in the handlebar first THEN deploying the lateral crossbar. The handlebar keeps the carriage sides spread, making it easier to get the essential crossbar to pop into place.

The short of the long is this: "I really wish I'd bought this MONTHS ago!"
