Our 18-month old rescue Weimaraner has a full-grown body and a brain that is still on the march from "puppy" to "adult". He loves to chew, and left to his own devices, the shoes of any member of the pack are probably first on his hit parade. For him, the the laces, tongue and heel tab/Achilles notch are particularly delectable.

When he appears in the room with a shoe, this is a great distraction that makes him forget about human footware. We don't play tug games with him, but he has fun with simple chewing on this as well as energetic flinging.

Keeps his attention nicely. He frequently alternates between this rope and the always-popular antler chew.

Good choice for a dog who needs his attention re-focused.

A long time Fan of rope toys by Booda Bones, Flossy and a few other makes - we hadn't tried the Hagen yet and are glad we did.

Rope toys in general are much safer than other toys, especially if you have an aggressive chewer at home.

We have Two Old English Bulldogs Harley, our nine year old 92 pound Chew-Monster and his partner in crime our two year old Elvis. Both just love to chew and play Tug - o - War and this toy at the XL size allows plenty of room for them to go wild. Plus I can get in on the lunacy too - without worrying about losing a few fingers.

They're both hardcore, take no prisoners, aggressive chewers. These guys saw through nylabones and Kongs like a beaver buzzing through a 2 X 4. Few toys hold up very long with exception of the good quality rope toys. The rope is quite stiff because the weave is so tight. I know from experience this means the toy should hold up well.

Both seem to adore the Mint flavor and the bone shape lends itself to all kinds of interactive play like fetch. Plus the size is manageable allowing our dogs to carry these around

After hours of fierce tug - of war crazy time with me getting in on the fun there's hardly a single strand out of place.

Rope Toys Have Lot's of Benefits:

* Cleans your dogs teeth and massages the gums

* Provides a Great work out (for pooch AND owner)

* Doubles as a chew toy and tug toy

* Non Toxic - Cotton even with some synthetic floss can't obstruct the intestinal tract like rubber, Polymer and Bone.

5 PAWS UP!

At first I was totally confused about the whole "mint" smell this toy advertises. Do the dogs like the minty taste? Maybe so... but then I realized the best reason for the mint smell is to keep this toy smelling fresh after it's been soaked with dog slobber and other dirt from playing outside with it. Whereas other soft dog toys like this start to get that unpleasant dog droll smell after even a couple play sessions, this toy still smells absolutely great and minty fresh. I've made it the go to outside toy for the dogs just because it doesn't get smelly!

One consideration about this toy is that the rope itself is incredibly taut. I wasn't expecting this. Most rope toys I've owned are loose and floppy, letting the dogs have the chance to whip them around. This rope is extremely tight where there is really no bend in it. It's a very thick and tight rope. Nonetheless, it's a great toy. Dogs love it!

I buy my mixed breed dog rope toys from time to time as a treat, fully expecting her to destroy them in one sitting. She is an aggressive chewer who has even chewed pieces of her Kong black off. For some reason, it took her MONTHS to destroy this toy. It is seriously worth way more than $7.99!

Our 2-year old Weimaraner rescue has a full-grown body, and a brain that is still on the journey from "puppy" to "adult". While his days of chewing family footwear are happily in the past, he has developed an interest in having certain objects serve as reminders to us that it's time for "dog fun".

This is one of those objects that he has adopted with relish. We don't play tug games with him, but he has fun with simple chewing on this as well as energetic flinging.

Keeps his attention nicely. He frequently alternates between this rope and the always-popular antler chew.

Good choice for a dog who needs his attention re-focused and energy expended on the right things...

We replaced our dog's last rope toy (Fresh-N-Floss Two Knot Bone Dog Toy with Spearmint Flavor Size: Large). I assumed they would be the same. This rope is much smaller and seems cheaply made. I would classify it as a medium size instead of large. It doesn't smell minty either. The other rope had a strong mint smell which actually helped our dogs breath. Unfortunately, we also got the dog a new KONG toy too and she hasn't paid much attention to the rope. Probably won't buy this brand again.

Very minty, actually infused everything in the box that came at the same time with mint. A very hard rope and leaves bruises when the dog hits me with it. Before this one, he had a flossy bone that he liked much better than this one. Each dog is different and mine just prefers the softer bones so I won't buy another one of these but it is well made and a good value.
