Book Description

August 23, 2001
Doctor Allen Aaron is a world famous veterinarian and canine specialist. Governors and Presidents are among his client list. At only twenty nine he has his own large clinic in Houston, Texas. The reason for his astounding success is a genius level IQ that allowed him to graduate with honors from vet school at only nineteen, and a socially prominent and wealthy mother. The relationship between mother and son has not always been a smooth one in that the true reason for Doctor Aaron's amazing talent with dogs is his closely guarded secret ability to communicate directly with canines. Dogs Are People, Too! Chrinicles the stormy relationship between overpowering mother and determined son. Adventures abound as ten year old Allen runs away, and hitchhikes across country meeting and making friends with people and dogs along the way. The adult Doctor Aaron searches for a mysterious Mexican girl purported to be able to speak to dogs. His search takes him to Mexico City where he finds Rosalina Flores. Nineteen and beautiful, she shares Doctor Aaron's unusual talent of communicating directly with canines.

More About the Author

I began writing on a dare from my sister, LaDonna King. After attending a writing class at the local community college I joined a writer's critique group and began reading everything I could on writing, writers, and the literary world. One refrain was repeated everywhere I turned my attention to. "You learn to write by writing."

Dogs Are People, Too became my classroom and university. Once I knew I could complete a full length novel, I wrote The Genesis Project and the sequels to it Beyond Omega/Millennial Reign.

Writing is addictive and I continue in its thrall with the murder mystery Five Gaits. Five Gaits is now available as a Kindle book and paperback at Amazon.com and other online book sellers.

I've begun a new project called Indian Heaven. The fictional life story of a Cathlapotle Native American who lived long before the white man came to destroy these peaceful and prosperous people.

5.0 out of 5 stars Adventure around every corner., November 2, 2001

This review is from: Dogs Are People, Too! (Paperback)
I am the younger brother of the author and all our life he has had the ability to expand on the truth. His creative mind has come up with a great story. I'm not much of a reader but to humor him I started reading his book and had a hard time putting it down. I laughed, I cried and I think I could even smell the food cooking in several chapters. There is adventure in every chapter. I can't wait for his next book.

Dogs are People too was a great book. Once started I could not put it down. The story is believable. Who hasn't thought their pet could talk to them. I can't wait for the sequel. Parents should take note and try not to force their children into the life they want.

I give "Dogs are People too", two thumbs up or should I say two paws up. It is a delightful story about a boy and his incredible bond and understanding of canines. It was a exciting book that I couldn't put down. I think it is a great book that everyone should read.
