If you are looking for hot guitar licks and an album with originals, this is it. The 2nd solo album by guitar virtuoso, Pete Anderson, Dogs in Heaven, contains 8 tunes written or co-written by Anderson, with two covers; Ain't That Peculiar and Sherry. Good vocals on the album that complement the feel of the songs are especially felt on 110 in the Shade and Feels Like...

Pete is one of my favorite guitar players and his licks are intact on this release. But why, oh why, do guitar players have to try and sing. Pete is no vocalist and it is almost painful to hear his flat voice over such cool playing. I can't really recommend this CD for that reason. I guess I will just stick to Dwight Yoakam for Pete's playing, great songs and a great...

If you are looking for hot guitar licks and an album with originals, this is it. The 2nd solo album by guitar virtuoso, Pete Anderson, Dogs in Heaven, contains 8 tunes written or co-written by Anderson, with two covers; Ain't That Peculiar and Sherry. This album also features Gun Dog, the band put together featuring long time Anderson band mates Taras Prodaniuk, Jim Christie and Skip Edwards. Additional musicians include Lee Thornberg.
