My wife loved this book. She also loves the series Doc Martin. So, I'm figurin' she probably loves Martin Clunes too.

I must confess, I love dogs also. In fact, it is one of my strongest requisites in a friend. If you love dogs, you're okay... If not...?

My wife says you should buy this book. My two cats aren't so keen on it, but then they're only cats.

Warm hearted and very readable. A great fireside indulgence. You will enjoy the daft relationship Martin has with his fourlegged friends. You learn quite a lot about the man as well as some interesting facts about his dogs.He is honest and self effacing and he comes over as the sort of guy you would want to be your bestfriend.

We are fans of Martin Clunes which is how I discovered this book. We love "Doc Martin" and "William and Mary". The book is full of good information on the evolution of dogs into our house pets and what the dogs in his life mean to him. Light reading but very interesting. I have purchased 2 extra copies as gifts for my dog loving friends. They have also said they enjoyed reading it.

Tucker, my beloved cocker, 'went away' not to long ago and Maus, my beloved cat, a year ago. I'd decided that I would not risk my heart again. That is...until I read this book!

I bought this book because I am a huge fan of Clunes but now that I've read it, I might just take the plunge into puppy love again. The writing style is wonderful....like sitting in the den with a story-telling friend.

Nice book, lovely story about Martin Clunes travels to find out what makes our relationship with dogs so special. Great pictures, not only of his pets but areas he traveled to. Nice book for a dog lover. Great communication from seller.

Being in America, I had to watch Martin's ITV show on dogs off You Tube. This book has some personal experiences with his own dogs, and some of his experiences from filming his documentary. Both were interesting.

Even if you didn't know who Martin Clunes was, after reading this you'd love him! It's written in a manner that moves fast and makes you want more. You find out a lot about his life, his work, and his animals. It's also like a travelogue of the area of his Doc Martin films. So much more than a tale about dogs!

Martin Clunes unabashed love for his dogs and his life in Dorset is warm and reflects the good nature of this man.

Martin Clunes' book was a gift to a dear friend who loves animals. She thoroughly enjoyed this book, but then again she loves Martin Clunes as well!!

I bought this book for 2 Reasons. 1: It was written by Doc Martin, and 2: I love dogs. This was very well
researched and written by an obvious dog lover. I was sorry for all the problems they had with their own dogs but
was happy for the resolution. It was also interesting to read about the African Wild Dog, They are unique looking
but sadly they do not Tame well.
