It's a dog's life!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Dogspell: A Dogmatic Theology on the Abounding Love of God (Paperback)
Dogspell is a playful and entertaining reminder of God's love -- even in the darkest times. Whether away from home, caught in the rain/mud, regardless of appearances; God, like a dog, loves unconditionally. The metaphor of God as dog emphasizes the joy of a loving relationship with God. Mary Ellen Ashcroft creates parallels between the greeting of a dog and God's welcome, a dog's love of all people and God's love, and a dog's need for attention and God's call. Each reader will find a unique personal message and inspiration in this book.

A wonderful, inspiring and humorous book--perfect for everyone, even those of us who are cat lovers rather than dog lovers. I already had my copy but purchased two copies for friends of mine.

I use this with teenagers going through confirmation class. It is so easy for youth to relate to - and even for adults. Also good for a small group, or for church vestry/council/session reflections.
