This is a great Brand of dogfood, however, the picture is of Happy Hips but Amazon will actually send you the Vitality version as per the title. Not their fault, as the title says Vitality. I needed Happy Hips for my senior dog and now I have many cases for his younger siblings! All in all, will order with better observation and I love Amazon.com - they save my family $$ via - no trips to the store which = extra spending potentially.

Just switched from another expensive national brand of natural dog food. Was not unhappy with the old product, but this Ship & Save thing from Amazon is great. Anyway, the dogs like this stuff about 300% more than the old dog food. It looks real, and obviously must taste great. Higher quality "Returns" from the back end of the puppies too!

This was the second automated shipment I received. The gravy looks very different from the first case and my dog really doesn't eat it. He just picks at it. I have to decide if I want to continue with the shipments. I just hope nothing is wrong with the batch.

First, Amazon's image shows the Happy Hips formula when this is Vitalty. No biggie if you're paying attention but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has alerted Amazon...yet they do nothing to fix it. There IS a slight difference in the two formulas so do beware of that. I've been feeding Dogswell canned food for 3 yrs now to my Boston Terriers. Happy Hips has more Glucosamine and fewer calories. The GOOD: My dogs had been fed homemade food before I finally grew exhausted and tried this. There was zero transitional gas which any dog owner knows is a relief. That's a good sign of quality food. (I tried a Dogswell lamb version and it was too rich so I stick to chicken). Three years in and gas is still not a problem. This brand, to the best of my knowledge has never been involved in a recall. I trust them as much as I trust any dogfood in this day and age. My picky eaters actually eat it! What good does a quality food do if Fido says um NO way!? Quality, human grade ingredients. Prolly higher quality than we get from some taco drive-thrus. You can see the pieces, actually identify the carrots, etc. Amazon prices this cheaper than anywhere on the Web or at brick and mortar. Especially if you get the subscription. Read the nutrition....it's as good as just about any food out there, sans maybe doing it at home yourself. My Bostons' coats are lovely, energy level good, they don't drink massive quantities of water after eating it, and it's not full of fillers. Oh and their bowel movements are as ideal as I could hope for. Sorry, but you can tell a lot by a BM; this stuff is good. What it doesn't have: NO soy, corn, rice, gluten, wheat (even if you stop there, that's fantastic), BHA/BHT, rendered poultry, added hormones, artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. CHICKEN IS THE FIRST INGREDIENT and there's a lot of it in each can. The BAD: Well, it may not actually be a terrible thing if every can is slightly different due to truly using human grade ingredients, but some cans are mushy and seem 80% gravy. Others are chunky and dry. Does make you scratch your head. In fairness, all these years this inconsistency has remained consistent. So the batches varying doesn't really concern me as much as it maybe should. The price. Amazon cannot be beat but in a multi dog household, I'm still shelling out the big bucks. The cans...occasionally arrive dented. Usually just 2 or 3, never enough to send back, but c'mon, Amazon., too pricey to not receive pristine quality. The amount needed- if you read the can, you need quite a bit to achieve ideal nutrition IF you're not augmenting with dry food. I try to avoid feeding dry so I go through a lot of this. Here's the recommended feeding levels if feeding ONLY wet: 1/2 can for every 10 lbs of body weight. If you've got a 100 lb dog, yikes! So...this is great stuff that all my dogs happily eat. They have remained as healthy and happy on this stuff as anything I have ever tried...and back when they were younger I think I tried literally every high end food, got frustrated and fed them homemade, then discovered this stuff and my worries were over. INFO ON THE BACK: 939 Kcal/kg 347 Kcal/can ME Crude protein 8.0, crude fat 4.0, crude fiber 1.0, moisture 82.0, Glucosamine 380 mg/kg, Chondroitin 220 mg/kg

This Dogswell food is one heck of a good buy for my pups, and they like it just fine. Trouble is, what used to look like "stew" (chunks of meaty things andt recognizable vegetables) now looks like barf. It must taste the same to the dogs, though, so no complaints have been registered. This is good, since I recently received a 4 case order. It seems to be the same high quality product that Dogswell has been producing before. Just looks different, that's all. Must have been a corporate decision...I'll keep on buying it, though I wish they would go back to the old formula.

This food is EXCELLENT (or so my dogs tell me....). I have two dogs that used to eat ok when I was feeding them Natural Choice canned food with their dry food, but since switching to Dogswell they devour everything! That being said, I purchased 5 cases of this food from Amazon and signed up for automatic delivery! HOWEVER, PLEASE KEEP READING ... 1st two cases were fine, the 3rd case had several dented cans (the quality of the aluminum is not very good) and one can was corroded with what appeared to be dried on food and rust (it was gross, had to toss it!). The 4th case was almost all dented cans, many of them with various spots that were beginning to rust. I haven't opened the 5th case but if it's anything like the last two I'm going to have no choice but to terminate the automatic delivery I signed up for and purchase these at the store where the cans can be inspected 1st!
