With the owner learning how to use this collar as a corrective device, not always as a punishment for bad behaviour, it can be invaluable. I learned how to use this collar at Tsuro Dog Training, in Ontario Canada. It made walking our Brittany off leash a possiblity. It also helped curb some of his bad behaviour. We laxed off in our training and suffered for it. We then went back to the collar and he started making progress again. There are two things that you have to be carefull of. 1) The battery level. It won't work if the battery isn't charged...I have found myself out and about with a battery on its last legs. 2) Don't use it as punishment, all the time. We curbed our dogs tendency to counter surf with some high level shocks, about three and he was done with the counter. We only worked on one bad behaviour at a time though, or he would have been shocked to the point of cruelty, moderation works best. Like I said, learn how to use the collar properly and it's awesome. If not, you're doing yourself and Fido a disservice.

I would recomend this product to anyone. In a matter of a few hours, it has transformed my German Shorthair into the most obedient bird dog i have ever had, and i have had many, Thank You
