First let me say I'm a HUGE fan of Wolfman & The Roadmasters and thrilled that they have been able to release yet another album. Out Of The Dark is still my favorite Wolfman album but this new release is definately moving up the list. If you like good, funky, R&B/blues/jazz/soul you will enjoy this album. Buy a bunch of copies and give them to your friends and let's hope that we can keep this great band out on the road and bringing this great music to our towns. Keep up the good work Wolfman... Hopefully we'll see you in East Tennessee soon!

Walter "Wolfman" Washington has shown a lot of range throughout his career. While he is firmly rooted in the blues, funk is clearly his breadbasket, and always has been. While much of his earlier work helped define funk's place in the musical world, "Doin' The Funky Thing" perfectly defines the Wolfman himself. The album just drips with warm, honest R&B and soul. I've seen him live on a few recent occasions, and I can say this recording captures the Roadmasters' sound completely. There are no weak moments here, just loads of his trademark blend of blues, soul, R&B, and funk. This is essential listening for fans of Wolfman Washington, old and new.
