The best, most useful primer of brief therapy I have read,
By A Customer
This review is from: Doing Brief Psychotherapy (Hardcover)
Though other books (like Vaillant's Changing Character) are more comprehensive, this eminently readable guide to brief therapy is excellent. I find Basch's linking of therapy with developmental levels highly instructive-I now use it with clients. The book is also very readable, with ides that readily lend themselves to rapid diagnosis/assessment and intervention. Well done.

I really liked this book
As I started a Student Mental Health Center rotation, where the model was 12 Individual Psychotherapy sessions, I thought I needed a framework that could guide me to achieve that. This book came in very handy as Basch offers a very clear cut, easy to follow method to evaluate and help the patients. This is a fast read and the information provided is easily usable.
