1.0 out of 5 stars Doing It Badly August 3, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a joke, right?

Guess not, and this story is a classic example of what is wrong with the self publishing industry. While Wild has a better grasp of English than the usual writer of bad fiction, in this case bad erotica (it is supposed to be erotica, right?), she still exhibits a number of other glaring faults.

Basic plot is poor, little rich girl, Grace, who controls her weight because she has no control of anything else is being forced by evil, greedy, controlling fat daddy to choose a husband from a large group of rich losers so he can expand his business interests and mega-fortune. PLRG wants to find true love and thinks she's found it with the construction worker, Finn, working across the street. She runs away, runs into guy from across the street and goes home with him. A classic plot and in (a lot) more talented hands it still works. But now let's address the more glaring issues.

Let's talk continuity, shall we? Clarissa, do you have even the slightest idea what this is? Because your story doesn't show it. Night had set in, five paragraphs later, the sun hadn't set yet. Night as defined by Webster's: the time from dusk to dawn when no sunlight is visible. So which is it, Clarissa? Then she encounters Finn, our hero, again and he says, "I've only just finished my shift." Is he putting in some overtime or did you just not think this through?

"I just like to hear you scream." Really? How could he? She hasn't screamed in his presence so this is wrong. He might want to HEAR her scream but since they've only just met that morning and haven't spent the day together and he's just getting started on the Big Sexy Scene, no, he hasn't heard her scream.

Here I have to stop and just say I hate Grace. She's stupid. And selfish. And shallow.

3.0 out of 5 stars Will Not Be Everyone's Flavor November 8, 2013

Needs editing, character building, and plot development. Regardless of these negatives, it was cute if random and I'd probably read the next even though the story is pretty ridiculous.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice, quick read September 3, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
My Review: Doing It Wild is a short story that can be taken several ways, some positive, some not. I chose to see it as a quick romance or fling between two unlikely characters. Grace is bring forced to decide between a list of suitors that her father lines up for her in order for him to expand his business. These men are actually waiting in her house to be "interviewed," I guess so that Grace can make her decision. This reminded me of a scene in the movie Penelope with Christiana Ricci. I liked that Grace stands up for herself and runs away from her situation because I do not think that she had to be in it in the first place. She is an adult so I do not see why she stays other than the money. Upon running away Grace spies on construction workers and becomes captivated with Finn Wood. Grace and Finn go on to have what appears to be a fling, although the presence of two other short stories in this series leads me to believe that their relationship will further develop in later installments. The relationship between Grace and Finn confused me slightly because they did not know each other long and seemed to be quickly falling in love with each other, at least from Grace's point. Also Finn's secret bothered me and the fact that Grace was able to completely ignore it as if it didn't matter. I feel that if I was in the same position I would want to know more about it.

Overall: In general I did like Doing It Wild because it was a quick and fun read. However, if you are looking for a more developed romance I would recommend reading the rest of the series for that. I did like this story and would be interested in reading the rest of the series. I give Doing it Wild 3.5 stakes (stars).

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Wild September 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Grace has Daddy trouble. He wants her to marry a guy that HE has picked out. What to do? Run away from home! The reader is warned that the book has graphic depictions of sexual acts. In particular the perversion committed with the male mouth and the female sexual oegans is described in great detail. I suspect that the work will be placed on the List of Proscribed Books at the Vatican. Nevertheless, the book is an important study of the tribulations of the youth. Bravo!

4.0 out of 5 stars Short Read but Will Leave You Wanting More September 19, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Grace wants to make up her own mind and marry for love. The bad thing is that her dad didn't get the memo. She runs out while her dad wants her to pick from several men that he has picked for her. That is when she sees Finn across the road. He tells her that she doesn't need to be with her because he can't be the man her dad wants for her.

I can't wait to read the next book to see what happens next.

If your looking for a quick read. Then this is for you. It left me wanting more and for grace to get what she wants. However I also want to know more about Finn. Could he possibly be more then he says. Will read the rest of the series
