5.0 out of 5 stars Great stuff
As a professional developer I found this book saved me huge amount of time in picking up a new framework. Author explains what the essence of the toolkit you need to know, but not more than you need to know, less than say its visual figures are very helpful. I wish author could write more books on other frameworks/toolkits, such as google's closure.

3.0 out of 5 stars Typos in Kindle edition
The content is well-presented and is lots of fun.

One typo had me confused for quite a while. In one example, the code for reflect.php is completely wrong. Only after searching Google and seeing an image from the printed book did I find the correct code.

I plan to update this review later based on how many additional typos I encounter, and the...

This review is from: The Dojo Toolkit: Visual QuickStart Guide (Paperback)
This is a great little book to get the major concepts of Dojo and how they can be used.

Lots of examples and a step by step approach.

This book would be too simple for advanced programmers.

This review is from: The Dojo Toolkit: Visual QuickStart Guide (Paperback)
This book is a great start towards seeing what is out there for dojo. It won't make you an expert, it's a quickstart guide. This, coupled with the Dojo Definitive Guide is a great mix!

3.0 out of 5 stars Typos in Kindle edition, August 7, 2011

One typo had me confused for quite a while. In one example, the code for reflect.php is completely wrong. Only after searching Google and seeing an image from the printed book did I find the correct code.

I plan to update this review later based on how many additional typos I encounter, and the associated pain.

Notes:

The "Adding Dijits To A Content Pane" code is also incorrect, and it appears from Google Books that the printed version is also incorrect.
