I can only echo what many have said about the "arriving broken" issue. The box was perfectly intact, so I'd assume the problem occurred before FedEx brought it to me.

As you look at the picture, the piece of wood forming the top of the highest left cubby was pretty badly damaged; however, since you attach it to the long piece of wood spanning both columns, you can't see it once it's put together. Ordinarily, I would've returned it, but it's such a hassle to do that and I got it to work for me.

Damage aside, I'm pleased with the hutch. It fits the Dolce Desk (a separate purchase) as well as one would expect. The color and apparent quality (again, aside from the damage) is quite excellent -- I own the desk, the console table, and the wine rack in this line and many have remarked on how expensive/attractive they are.

One reviewer's complains about the drawer not having bearings is in fact true - but I see this as an upside. The drawer can go in any of the four cubby-holes (or none) allowing for some customization.

This was exactly waht I wanted as far as design. The only problem I see is that you have no way of attaching it to the desk. My husband had to drill holes in it in order to attach it to the matching desk. I quess you could just sit it on top, but not very secure that way.

I received this hutch just three days after I ordered it, and it was in flawless shape when it got here. The color is beautiful, and the piece is very heavy, sturdy solid wood. The desk in this set was a bit too small for what I was needing, so I ordered a walnut dining table from Target, and they blend wonderfully well together. The hutch is pretty large, so it holds quite a bit of office supplies, paperwork, etc. You won't go wrong with this choice.
