I remember this song from way back in 1983 when it was a massive hit in Europe, particularly Spain where I spent my summer holidays in the resort of Callella. When played, it filled the dance floors, more so than Rod Stewart's 'Baby Jane' and Michael Jacksons 'Billy Jean' which says something of the impact the song had on the party goers of that time. Sadly, on return to the UK, the record company who released it in this country decided to whack 2 - 3 minutes of play-time of the European Hit Version of the record presumably so it 'fitted in' with the stereotypical 2-3 minute single length commonly heard in the UK. As a result, I think it made the Top 20, but only Just. The shortened version never had the same impact as the full length one, imagine if they'd done this to Bohemian Rhapsody !!!!. Everybody in the UK who heard the abbreviated version wondered what all the fuss was about !! Luckily I bought the Full length Version and still have it tucked away in my record collection... A 12 Inch 'Feel Good' Master Piece !!!!!!! It brings back many happy memories, particularly of the Flying Horse, Beach Boys Club and Lennon's Bar. Fond Memories of Doreen and Hazel xxxxxxxx.

The song, dating from 1983, reminds me of the period that I started as a student in chemistry, everything around me was new and exciting. The song fills me a bit with melancholy. As far as I know, Ryan Paris only produced this song. It is a pity that he did not make a full album!

Dolce vita is voor mij een van de mooiste liedjes ooit gemaakt. Het ritme is zeer aanstekelijk en ik zit dan ook aan het radiotoestel gekluisterd indien dit liedje op de radio is.
