5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap alternative to more expenvise filters
I do lots of outdoor photography for Non-profit events and I wanted an affordable ND to balance with a flash fill or catch that blurry motion in bright sunlight. I have a hood for my lens I have no problems with flares or ghosting. Color contrast looks great! I'm glad I bought these filters. I like them quite alot now & like the results I've gotten.

The Dolica filters are made of reasonable quality glass and came packaged well. The Filters appear to be appropriately graded so that a photographer may take a variety wide aperature and/or slow shutter speed pics in bright sunlight. A pic of a waterfall where one does not want to freeze the water, but show a smooth almost dreamy appearance may be once example...

Great filters and a great price. The filters are flawless with no distortions, blemishes, or scratches. Good fit on the 105 kit lens for the Nikon D90.

I took a chance on this as I didn't think these were going to be the greatest in quality mainly b/c of the price - I was a bit apprehensive. I've used these several times and they are very nice. The bonus is the bargain of a price. Optical quality is very good and I'm sure you'll get same photo quality as the more expensive comparable "premium" glass.

I highly recommend!

The Dolica filters are made of reasonable quality glass and came packaged well. The Filters appear to be appropriately graded so that a photographer may take a variety wide aperature and/or slow shutter speed pics in bright sunlight. A pic of a waterfall where one does not want to freeze the water, but show a smooth almost dreamy appearance may be once example. The filters can be stacked to multiply the effect for the very interesting shots.

Negative:

These filters came with a locking ring loose in the filter so that the glass lens was loose. I was able to snap down the locking ring so that the lens are in place tightly (one still is slightly loose. I have never bought filters that had this problem before and it possible I just got a set with poor quality control.

The price was ok, and the filters work once the ring was snapped in place but obviously an end user should not have to build the product unless he/she is purchasing a kit. It may be worth it to spend a few extra dollars from a competing vendor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works as it should., February 18, 2010

If you are reading this you know what ND filters are for. These filters do exactly what they should. I stacked them to get more "stops" and it worked great. This is a nice, inexpensive set of ND filters.

I bought these to use with my Canon 24-70mm f2.8 so I can have better control over my DOF in full sun. I am very pleased. Recently I even stacked the 0.9 and 0.6 filters so I can blur water from a river on extremely sunny day. Worked great and no issues with picture sharpness. I highly recommend this product.

it works perfectly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Set Of Filters, November 16, 2010

Great set of filters for the price. This is my second set. I bought the first for a 67mm lens and liked them enough to buy the 72mm set.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality. Can be stacked one over the other, August 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I brought these along with my new camera.

The build quality is good and the threading is smooth.

The best part is that they can be stacked on top of

each other and achieve more filtering of light.

I took some nice pictures of waterfalls with them.

I could go up to 2sec shutter speed with a single filter.

I am uploading a pic taken with the filter.

4.0 out of 5 stars very nice basic set of filters, December 24, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
very well made filters that don't tint my photos, great for ocean photography. the only problem is that they are not the thinnest filters on the market so with really wide angle lenses you need to remove your uv filter or else they can wreck your shot, i sometimes stack these on my wide angle lens with a polarizer even though i have to crop out the corners as they cause a small amount of vignetting. overall a nice product to have kicking around the camera bag.
