A Good Doll Furniture Resource,
By Janice A Brown (Mickleton, NJ United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Doll Furniture: 1950s-1980s Identification & Price Guide (Paperback)
This is a great book for anyone looking to purchase doll house furniture from the 1950s-1980s. The chapters are by Doll Furniture Maker. Many photographs are in color, and include approximate dates they were made/sold. The book includes an index with price guides (but remember the prices are from 1997). Also has a nice chapter on the tin kitchen playsets. The only flaw in the book is that it does not deal in the plastic furniture (that came with the tin lithographed doll houses) -- I had to use Tomart's Guide to learn about those.

I was able to look up several pieces of doll furniture here and now know the mfr! It's always amazing when something you've collected is unknown & then you find it in one of these books.
In my case, a white armoire was pictured in this book, and I now know the manufacturer. Several other items I have are also shown. Just about everything is in this. A nice addition to your book collection for doll related sources. |
