This beautifully illustrated easy reader makes counting coins fun and simple! Illustrations of coins on selected pages make it the perfect teaching tool at home or in the classroom! Random House has another outstanding Step into Reading title! A great ending too!

My son enjoyed reading the story and the math component as well. It is easy enough for a beginning reader, and yet it can keep their attention as well.

I purchased this book for Santa to give to my 6 year old daughter. She's in first grade and is reading only slightly above grade level and does not enjoy reading on her own. But she loved this book. She read it on her own several times and to me. The story line reinforces coin values nicely.

I read this to my son and it is still a great starter book. He has lots of questions on this book so I like that it sparks his curiosity. It is a great way to introduce math/money at an early stage, without looking like you are forcing them to learn about math/money. We have several of these early readers and they are all very good and we have not been disappointed. They are pretty fast to read and so I can do several at bedtime and the kids love to read lots of book.

This early reader became one of the favorites of my 6-yr old. She read it in one setting without prodding on my part, and that's unusual at this stage. Math concepts (as in money-counting) and quality illustrations are an added bonus for me. After we read the library copy, I just had to buy it!
