Dolls by Kristine Hooks is a superlative introduction for young readers to the world of doll collecting. A simple, clear text tells the history of dolls and how to get started on your collection. As you might expect, there are some lovely photographs, and the text is further enlivened with "Fun Facts," like the value of the 1959 Barbie -- $5,000.00!
A list of books for further reading, magazines, webography and glossary all add to the value of Dolls -- quite a wonderful little book on an enchanting subject. |
