5.0 out of 5 stars A work of art
I'm half cambodian and I'm very satisfied that the doll really looks like a replica of cambodian princesses. I'm amazed of the detail work on the dress and how the jewelry are well made. I bought one for my daughter and soon to buy more for family members.

3.0 out of 5 stars Get it if you are buying the collection, but not a must have
The Princess of Cambodia Barbie doll is pretty, but not as nice as some of the previous princesses. The doll is wearing very plastic looking jewelry, which is kind of ... plastic. I know Barbies wear plastic jewelry, but some of the other dolls look so much better. I think that my favorite Princess in the series thus far would have to be the Princess of Ireland and then,...

I think this is a great portrayal of traditional Cambodian women. My sister and niece have this doll and I thought it was great. Very feminine and elegant looking princess doll.

This is a beautiful doll. She has nice head gear, beautiful hair, and stunning clothes. She looks like she was designed to look more like she was from Cambodia and not just a standard Barbie face with different skin color. She's a must for collectors.

When my friend bought me the Princess of Cambodia Barbie Doll, all I could say was "WOW! What a beautiful doll! Where did you get it?" I am planning to buy more to give to people I know whom would love it as much as I do. I didn't even know that Barbie Princess Collection even existed. I like how there is a brief description of the traditional "sampot" and culture on the back of the box. I am going to start collecting Dolls of the World 'The Princess Collection'. I am looking forward to see more Barbie Princess Colletion from different countries.

This is a beautiful doll. I am Cambodian, and I am so glad that there is a doll out there representing our ethnicity (I do agree with other reviewers she could look a little more Asian). I just gave this doll to my grandmother as a birthday gift and she absolutely loved it. I am planning to buy a few more for my nieces, I want them to know that Barbie is more than just blonde hair and blue eyed. I am happy that there is the dolls of the world collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful, education and exotic Barbie, March 27, 2004

This is one of the most beautiful Barbie dolls around, next to my absolute favorite, Princess of India. I'm actually German, not Cambodian, but I still highly appreciate the exotic ethnic Barbies Mattel has created. Her costume looks highly accurate of those of Cambodian Khmer dancers, and she has a beautiful, traditional headdress. When I saw her, I HAD to have her, as a collector of just the Dolls of the World Barbies. The only thing that sort of is a let down is the fact that her face doesn't look incredibly Cambodian. She looks a little bit Caucasian as well, but she is still stunning!
This is an excellent buy for any international Barbie collector. It would be a great buy if you have a daughter of Cambodian descent who would like a pretty doll who looks just like her, to show her that she's as pretty as any blonde-haired Barbie doll. At this price, you should get her while you can, because with a doll this original and unique, her value will only increase!

THANK YOU, Matel for making this doll. My mom and I searched
3 ToysRUs stores before we could find two. Then we bought two
more on-line. I am so proud of her, I am taking her to shcool
to show my friends.

Hello. I've never seen anything like this! I'm Cambodian and I was browsing through Toys r us...and couldn't believe what i saw. A Cambodian barbie? WHOA. I had to get it. Isn't she gorgeous? I guess it's not as exciting if you're not Cambodian or don't know anyone who's Cambodian, but perhaps it is.

Have a nice day.

Great Barbie Collector's Item. Beautiful doll with non-typical mold for face. Adore this line's exploration of different cultures.

The minute I saw this doll when I was surfing the net, I knew I had to get her. I asked my dad to get it for me as a birthday gift. I was so exited as I was waiting to recieve it. When I got it I carefully opened it, not wanting to ruin it. Although, despite my efforts, her hair got really messed up. She is a beautiful doll with a very nice dress. I personally like these dolls because of their history. I already have the one from Greece, Japan, Egypt, and Cambodia. My only compalint about these dolls is their hair can be messed up very easily. But I highly recommend this doll.
