GREAT photos & GREAT stories from a friend and fan of Dolly.,

Ed Caraeff provides a unique perspective into theprofessional world of photography of superstars...in this case, Dolly Parton. Great photographs of Dolly from her "Here You Come Again", "Heartbreaker", and "Great Balls of Fire" album covers highlight the book. Mr. Caraeff provides some great "behind the scenes" stories and proclaims how he quickly became an avid Dolly Parton fan. One of my favorite stories from the book was how, after many shoots and many outfits, the jeans Dolly wears on the "Here You Come Again" cover (one of her best, if not THE best, of all her album covers) are the jeans she had on when early that morning he picked her up at her hotel room to go to the studio. This book is a "10" among Dolly Parton books, because of the magnificent photography (Mr. Caraeff is obviously quite talented) and the personal stories between Mr. Caraeff and Ms. Parton -- told from the heart. "Dolly Close Up/Up Close" is a definite must-have for any Dolly Parton fan. |
