Product Description

OUTPERFORMS AQUABOT AND IS BACKED BY A 3-YEAR WARRANTY! This computer-controlled robot vacuums, scrubs any size pool and is more reliable than Aquabot. The DolphinTM will clean any shape or type of pool up to 1,250 sq. ft. and scrub it free of dirt, algae, and bacteria. It climbs walls to the waterline, maneuvers around ladders, drains and stairs, and shuts itself off automatically once the pool is clean. Not only does DolphinTM clean your pool spotlessly clean, it also filters your water at the same time. Because it works independently from your filter system, it purifies up to 4,750 gallons per hour while it helps distribute your pool chemicals. The powerful DolphinTM cleans up to 4,200 sq. ft. per hour and traps debris in its own internal filter bag, so you will not need to clean your pump or backwash your filter. Since DolphinTM is the oldest and most reliable cleaner of its type on the market, it is backed by a 3-Year Warranty. Plus, if the unit ever needs servicing, it diagnosis's the problem itself, making trouble-shooting a snap. The unit is completely safe and operates on 24 volts at a cost of pennies a day. DolphinTM comes complete with transformer, 65 feet of cord, and 2 micron filter bag. Invest in the most proven automatic pool cleaner of its type with our DolphinTM and enjoy a spotlessly clean pool this season.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst purchase I ever made, June 27, 2007
This review is from: Dolphin 2001 Robotic Cleaner
I bought a Dolphin Diagnostic from the official maker or distributor.

It does not work in a fiberglass pool: can't climb on the ledges and it gets itself trapped into one end of the pool, just moving back and forth on almost exactly the same path for hours.

The tech support guy was more interested in making a sale than helping with anything. After I described him the problem he suggested that I buy a different set of brushes, designed specifically for the fiberglass pools - very expensive PLUS an outrageous shipping charge. It turned out that the brushes it came with were actually the ones best suited for the fiberglass pools (but they didn't work) and what he made me buy were brushes designed for concrete pools.

Avoid buying it.

1.0 out of 5 stars This Dolphin gives Flipper a bad name, June 25, 2007

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Dolphin 2001 Robotic Cleaner
I purchased the Dolphin 4 years ago on the recommendation of my local pool store. On the two or three weeks of each season that it was not in the shop for repair, I found that it cleaned the pool great but would dump most of the debris that it picked up back into the pool when I pulled it out of the water. I attributed this to a poor design. Thus far, the drive shaft has had to be replaced (only took 4 months at the factory to repair) and now the motor is burned out which the factory tells me is a $685 item. Needless to say, I expected better service from a $900 piece of equipment. Expensive, unreliable and poor factory service. I am now in the market for a pool cleaner that doesn't have Dolphin in it's name.

1.0 out of 5 stars worthless, May 8, 2008
This review is from: Dolphin 2001 Robotic Cleaner
I unfortunately bought a Dolphin when the people at Leslie's recommended it. It is worthless. If you have even a small amount of debris - leaves, sticks, ect - in your pool, this thing will suck it up, get clogged, and then go back and forth over the same small area in your deep end for 6 hours. Even if you don't have debris, it will pretty much do the same thing. I tried multiple things recommended by their tech support that did nothing for it. The motor is way too weak to power this thing effectively. Poor design. I hate this product.
