Revised Edition!

The Dolphin is a wonderful book that awakens the dreamer within us. Like The Little Prince, it is written in simple language, yet it contains a strong and inspiring message that will enchant people of all ages.”

Louise L. Hay, the best-selling author of You Can Heal Your Life

In the journey through life, it is the will of the heart that decides our destiny, for to achieve our goals, we must not only act, but also dream . . . not only plan, but also believe.

The Dolphin is a story of courage, of struggle against our own fears, our own limits. It reminds us that there is more to life than meets the eye . . . things we can only discover if we follow our own rules. It is a story of hope that unveils the magic of this world, the magic we too often seem to forget.

So follow your dreams, listen to the voice within you, and let Daniel Dolphin take you on the most magical journey of all—the quest to fulfill your own destiny.

A magical story for young and old alike!

More About the Author

"A bird that sings is not always a happy bird." I discovered this by watching a beautiful bird inside a bird´s cage. I related to him in so many ways!
We live surrounded by rules, crystal walls, even trapped in golden cages. One day, surfing in a beautiful beach in the outskirts of Lisbon, in Portugal, the Voice of the Sea, the "Voice of my Heart" made me realize that I had to live the life I was meant to live, regardless of what others might say. So one day I gave everything away, and decided to follow my dreams and live them. I also realized, at least for myself, that life is about doing things, not having things. And then life made me a writer.
Never thought that so many people all over the world would relate to my books. There are millions of people around the world questioning their life-style, asking themselves: Is is worth to work day after day to surround myself with material possessions that in the end will turn me into its slave?
So I decided to keep it simple: money can bring peace of mind, but never true happiness. True happiness comes with the simple things of life: watching a sunset, the smile of a child, having time to smell the roses, but above all, living this wonderful journey called life by following your dreams. You only live once, so live the life you always wanted to live! Free yourself of all the chains that society places around you, spread your wings and fly towards your destiny: find the true purpose of your life. I did it, and never looked back. And I learned that as long as my spiritual life comes before my material life, I will be OK.
If I did it, anyone can do it: Just listen to the voice of your heart... the answers are there!
May your dreams come true, always...never let your fears stand in the way of your dreams, never!
With true light...a dreamer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stays in your mind, December 3, 1998
This review is from: The Dolphin (Hardcover)
I have read this book many times. I got it as a present, and the first time I read it in the plane it touched me deeply. Since that time I read it every now and then. It describes very well how I feel about the values in life and it is a wonderful written book with great illustrations. I have bought a great number of this book and give it as a special presents to people I care for, and to make them understand what makes my heart tick. Ton Thole, Loenen a/d Vecht. Holland

This is a wonderful book... one that should be read over and over again... I purchased this book because our son, who drowned on 9/3/02, loved the ocean, the earth and every living creature... I read it one night and cried quite a bit. It just reminded so much of him and the things he used to say to us... Definitely a book to add to your collection...
