Product Description

Is a dolphin a fish? No. A dolphin is actually a small whale. And all whales are mammals--just like you.In this insightful introduction to dolphins, kids will learn that the dolphin's ancestors probably lived on land, that these creatures have built-in air conditioning systems, and that they breath only once or twice a minute! The Bergers explain key science concepts relating to these animals, and even explore the reasons they are endangered, and what is being done to protect them from further harm.

This is a great book from a great couple who have been writing non-fiction for children. Collect all their books! If you love dolphins and want to learn more about them, this is the book.
