More About the Author

I was born in Miami Florida and began my fishing experiences with my father a Miami Fireman for 32 years retiring as a Captain. I worked on Pier Five in Miami as a mate beginning in 1960 after my father passed away, working my way thru college at Miami Dade Jr. college. I continued working as a charter Captain after being hired by the Metro Dade Fire Department in 1964. In 1975 I moved to the Lower Keys with my wife and kids and continued to work for Metro Dade Fire and Rescue, commuting every third day from Big Pine Key to the Fire House in Miami. I started a charter fishing business in Summerland Key in 1978 named Sea Boots Charters. during this time i began writing fishing articles for sports Fishing magazine, Big game Journal, Florida sportsman and many others. In 1987 I began doing a live TV show from Key West on TCI Chanel 5 on Friday nights at 6:00 pm. At tis time I also began a fishing show on US 1 radio called "This Week in Fishing" airing Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. In 1992 I published my first book "Dolphin the Perfect gamefish" and created the Dolphin Crystal Ball a calculator designed to predict dolphin fish feeding behavior using the moon phases and wind direction. Recently i have authored a Dolphin; The Perfect gamefish" e-book and a new e-book entitled "Trail by Fire". Trail By Fire conicals my experiences while working some 28 years on the Metro Dade Fire and Rescue Department as a Paramedic and a historical law Suit launched against me and my crew.My most recent work is taking all the hundreds of Magazine articles that I have written over the years and combining them with short stories related to the articles. This is an unpublished work as of now but will appear soon in three volumes due to the size of the work.

This book gives a quick reference to fishing for Dolphin in the Keys. It includes scientific data, gear selection, and different strategies for various times of the year and conditions. I've fished with Jim, and he catches fish when others don't.

My opinion is that this is one of the best saltwater fishing books ever written. If you really want to be an expert dolphin fisherman you need to know and use what is in this book.
