One of the greatest films of all time
This is a beautiful film. You will love it, and appreciate it and recommend to your friends... but unless you are from the Balkans you will never fully be able to understand it. Nevertheless, I highly recommend it.

to star or not to star?
Unless you are familiar with eastern culture this flick will look strange. On top of this this piece of life cut out of bigger picture which is communism and to understand movie properly I recommend to spend some time in Cuba or Serbia as regular person not a tourist.

After purchasing a Blu-ray player recently, I decided to finally lose all the old VHS tapes I've been hanging onto for years, so I've been going through them one by one, deciding which to upgrade to DVD, which to upgrade to Blu-ray, and which to just pitch and forget. I find that this is the only film in my collection which is simply unavailable as a region 1 DVD, and I am appalled. This is one of the most lovely and haunting films I have ever seen, a film of heartbreaking beauty. Why this has never been made available in the Region 1 market is unfathomable to me.
