I work at a animal shelteer and we recieve many farm animals. Most of these animals have been living in isolation or stark enviroments. This book has been useful in determining the best course of action in dealing with their behavioral issues and stress mangement.

I love this book! I was originally assigned the book for my Behavior of Familiar Animals course back in college. I lent my book to a professor later on and never got it back. Ten years passed and I never stopped thinking about this book and wishing I had it as a reference guide many times. The book itself is easy enough for pretty much anyone with a scientific interest to understand. There is some scientific information, but if you wish to understand more about the behaviors of your dog, cat, horse, etc., then I recommend getting this book. I understand not too many people are into reading a book on a more advanced level, so if you just like simple books, I wouldn't recommend.
