Dominic Carrillo is a freelance writer and teacher from San Diego, CA. He began creative writing during graduate school at UCLA. His debut novel, TO BE FRANK DIEGO, tells the tragicomic story of one man's pedestrian journey through the city of San Diego. His second book, AMERICANO ABROAD, is a collection of humorous travel stories based on his blog. His latest is a multicultural YA novel called THE IMPROBABLE RISE OF PACO JONES. Carrillo currently teaches in Eastern Europe and is working on his next novel.
