More About the Author

Scott M. Baker was born and raised in Everett, Massachusetts and spent twenty-three years in northern Virginia working for the Central Intelligence Agency. Scott is now retired and lives in Gainesville, Florida as a full-time writer along with his wife and fellow author Alison Beightol and his stepdaughter. He has written Yeitso, his homage to the giant monster movies of the 1950s that he loved watching as a kid; The Vampire Hunters trilogy, about humans fighting the undead in Washington D.C.; as well as Rotter World, which details the struggle between humans and vampires during a zombie apocalypse. Scott is currently working on the next two books in the Rotter World saga and a series of young adult post-apocalyptic fiction.

Scott has also authored several short stories, including "Cruise of the Living Dead" (a zombie outbreak aboard a cruise ship), "Deck the Malls with Bowels of Holly" (an alcoholic mall Santa battles zombie reindeer), "Last Flight of the Bismarck" (steampunk zombies), "The Hunger" (cannibalism during a zombie apocalypse), "Lebenden Toten at the Gate" (Nazis versus zombies in Stalingrad), "From Space It Came" (a giant spider from space), and the novella Dead Water.

When not writing, Scott can usually be found doting on the two boxers and one cat that kindly allow him to live with them.

I received a complimentary copy of this book as a part of a book tour in exchange for a fair and honest review:

With a portent for the future, Dominion, the third and final book in The Vampire Hunters trilogy, begins with a scene giving us part of the history of the Vampyrnomicon, the vampire bible which was the focus of the second book. Filled with action, violence and characters we've come to know, this installment is a powerful conclusion to the series. While the destruction of the vampires has always been a focus of this series, the future of mankind is definitely up for grabs in this installment.

Once again, hunters Drake Matthews and Alison Monroe find themselves in the thick of things with the Vampyrnomicon having been discovered. Aided by assistants Jim Delmarco and Juan Rodriguez, Drake and Allison have no problems locating vampires to destroy, they're just outnumbered as usual. Fortunately the average vampire is no match for them. Unfortunately, the master vampire they find themselves up against is Chiang Shih, who managed to survive their previous battle.

Armed with just enough information from the Vampyrnomicon, master Chiang Shih plans to change the course of the war against the hunters. Determined to turn her nest into "day walkers", who would be stronger, feed more often and be able to turn more vampires, she's a woman with a cause. If there are no mistakes, she and her vampires will be able to take over the world and she'll become the supreme ruler.

Once again providing us with the viewpoint of both the hunters and their vampire enemies, we are provided a front row seat for all of the action that takes place. With the stakes in the battle being raised, Drake and Allison find themselves being targeted by Chiang Shih.

The following review is my opinion and not a paid review. I received a copy of Dominion from the author via Bewitching Book Tours for review.

In Dominion the third book in The Vampire Hunters Trilogy the hunters and the vampires are still hunting the Vampyrnomicon, the book of the undead. Well the vampires are not literally looking for it. They are allowing the humans, the hunters do all the dirty work as they say. When the hunters find the book they plan on taking it away from them. The Vampyrnomicon is the vampires, the undead's bible.

The hunters want the book because it gives them the instructions on how to kill the head master vampire Chiang-Shih who is the only daywalker. The vampires want the book because it will tell them how to take dominion over the world. It will also tell Chiang-Shih how to turn all of her vampires into daywalkers like her. If she can turn them all into daywalkers it will be a lot easier for her to take over the world. The hunters have a few new people to join them in the third book Dominion as hunters. Drake will also find out who is he actually working for and who has been backing his company. The one person that has always been there for the hunters. This person has saved their buts on more than one occasion. This person has saved them from spending time in prison.

I have said this in the past about books that I have read and (meant it) I'm going to say it again. The Vampire Hunters Trilogy is definitely not like any other vampire books that I have ever read. This very true at the moment. There may be other books like this series but I have not read them but if they are I would very much like too. The Vampire Hunters trilogy will stay with me for a very long long time if not forever. If you have not read it yet then I highly recommend that you do.

"Dominion" is the 3rd and final book of the 'Vampire Hunter Trilogy' and in my opinion the best one out of them all. As usual Scott pens his characters believable and realistic in a great plot that ties up all the loose ends . This book kept me on the edge of my seat until the end. Highly recommended for all vampire lovers!

This is definitely the best book of the series! My character that I love to hate definitely brings it in this part! Although she is my least favorite, she is definitely one of the most developed so I can't help but like her ;) The author continues his plot development and refines it to the point where you can't help but want to pick up another one of his books. The twists and turns abound in this part of the trilogy, keeping you wondering how things are going to turn out. Tying up loose ends is usually a hard thing to do for some authors, but this author knocks it out of the park. There was not one thing that I wondered about after finishing this read. I can't wait to read more from this author :)
