Domino 4.5 Unleashed from Sams.net publishing is a collaborative effort of Rizman Virk, Thomas Fredell, and many others from Brainstorm Technology. This group has done a lot of work with Lotus Notes and the Internet and it shows. This is the best self-contained source on how to set up the Domino server, administer the server, create Domino applications with Java and ActiveX, and build Domino Web sites. For instance, it is the only book on Lotus Notes and Domino 4.5 that addresses NSAPI and ISAPI issues with Domino 4.5.
Detailed real-world examples fill the book, but errors do occur. Some of the examples lack consistency and, although they are still usable, less experienced readers should exercise caution when trying to follow the instructions line by line.

A great introduction to web programming,

This book, now largely outdated, is still a good source of information for people using Notes who want to learn more about web programming. The book was written by the Notes team at Brainstorm Technologies, now out of business. Some of the products noted in the book, such as Visual Help Desk, were acquired by HPC Technologies and some, such as ServerAdmin Plus, were acquired by Percussion Software. Happy reading.
